Teaser wands are wonderful tools for play, teaching drop it, controlled physical exercise and to supplement the need for puppies to bite.  If you have a puppy - a teaser wand can be a lift saver. This one is from Outward Hound.

(I'd like to note I use the word "down" at the end instead of "off" because that's what Cocoa's family uses. I recommend using off because down usually mean lay down.)

We had a pretty jumpy/bitey little puppy and that was what we started working on immediately. We almost curbed the jumping habit and started working on sit/stay/down in the first lesson!
